Can we treat dyslexia by retuning the brain's rhythms?
Building auditory-based interventions that target neural (gamma) oscillations to improve reading in dyslexic children. The goal is to move from mechanism to a real therapeutic strategy.
I study how the brain turns sound into language, and how to repair that process when it breaks down, from dyslexia to stuttering.
My work brings together cognitive neuroscience, developmental science and computational modelling, with one aim: to understand the hearing brain well enough to help it when it struggles.

Cortical oscillations, contextual prediction and the tempo of speech segmentation, and how the brain locks onto and anticipates the flow of speech.
From the energetic trade-offs between a growing brain and body, to the maturation of neural oscillations, uncovering the constraints that steer language acquisition.
Multisensory integration and prediction (the McGurk effect), and how these dynamics are disrupted in autism and rebuilt after cochlear implantation.

I am a CNRS Research Scientist (CRCN) and co-team leader at the Institut de l'Audition (Institut Pasteur, Paris), with an HDR in Cognitive Science (ENS, PSL) and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology (Aix-Marseille). My research has been supported by the ANR, the Fyssen Foundation, the Fondation pour l'Audition, the Swiss National Science Foundation and the CNRS. I lead Work Package 5, Rewiring disrupted audio-phonological networks, within the Institut reConnect.
